Hamburg, 27. September 2019 – The HIH Group will pool its IT innovation and digitisation efforts within its
corporate structure in a dedicated unit. In future, Stefan Rath (aged 38) and Florian Schnieder (46) will be in control of all processes associated with the digital evolution and serve as contact persons for IT and proptech companies, on the one hand, and as digitisation advisers for the over 700 staff employed by the HIH Group, on the other hand. Realising the Requirements and Potential of Digital Solutions
“We are getting quite a number of offers from prop-tech companies every month, yet have so far not received them centrally since they tend to be addressed to individual group companies and different contacts. From now on, they should all be submitted directly to us,” said Schnieder. “Our job is to screen the concepts and to examine them for value-added and for their compatibility with existing solutions.” Another task he mentioned will be the solution-driven adaptation of processes and workflows. On top of that, Schnieder and Rath have identified digitisation potential within the HIH Group. “At the interfaces of property management and facility management, for instance, we are aware of technical options for boosting efficiency and for improving data aggregation which we will review within the framework of our expanded sphere of responsibility,” said Rath.
HIH Pushing ahead with Standardisation Drive
HIH has lately set up testbeds for a whole array of property-specific applications, including Assetti as an asset management platform solution and EVANA for setting up data rooms. Moreover, the companies control.IT and INTREAL already run a pure IT platform within the HIH Group, the jointly founded company easol GmbH, which is expected to advance the standardisation of the entire real estate industry. At this time, easol handles the IT management of assets worth more than 30 billion euros. Among these are, inter alia, the properties of the HIH Group, including INTREAL.
