HIH Invest Appoints Felix Meyen as Managing Director

• Felix Meyen to head Transactions unit as Managing Director


• Hans-Joachim Lehmann to resign from his office and to coach his successor through the end of this year

Hamburg, 1st March 2022 – HIH Invest Real Estate (“HIH Invest”) has appointed Felix Meyen as its next Managing Director for Transactions as of 1 April 2022. Hans-Joachim Lehmann, his predecessor in this position, has resigned from the post on his own accord.

Felix Meyen has been with HIH Invest since 2005, starting out as asset manager before spending several years in the Transaction Management Germany unit and eventually taking charge of it in 2015. “We are very happy to have filled this important position with someone from our own ranks,” said Erik Marienfeldt, Managing Director of HIH Real Estate and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of HIH Invest. “At the same time, we would like to express our gratitude to Hans-Joachim Lehmann, who helped to shape the HIH Group over several decades, and who was fully involved even in the process of planning his own succession.”

Hans-Joachim Lehmann has worked for HIH Invest and its precursor companies for more than 30 years in various roles. During this time, he played a direct part in the process of building up the company along a fast-growth trajectory into one of the leading real estate AIFM companies, contributing many important impulses to this development. In 2015, he was appointed Managing Director of what is now HIH Invest. “His tireless dedication to the company in combination with his negotiating skills represent one of the cornerstones of the HIH Group’s success,” Marienfeldt went on to say.

Hans-Joachim Lehmann will supervise the transition within the senior management through the end of the year, and continue to make his experience and know-how available to the HIH Group in an advisory role even beyond that date.
